Throttle Position & Trigger Angle Adjustment
M17S, M17, MT-5 have full adjustable trigger function.
By adjusting:
・ Forward/Backward Throttle Position
・ Trigger Angle using Angle Spacers
・ Brake Trigger Spacer Width
・ Spring Tension
You can customize the transmitter to fit your hand size and grip preference, allowing smooth, stress-free throttle control.

＜Throttle Position Adjustment＞
When gripping the transmitter and placing your index finger on the throttle trigger, adjust the trigger position forward or backward so that your relaxed finger bends naturally.
To adjust, loosen the screw securing the throttle unit, then turn the position adjustment screw:
・ Turn screw left (counterclockwise): Moves the trigger position closer to the grip.
・ Turn screw right (clockwise): Moves the trigger position farther away.
*There is a limited adjustment range. Please monitor the position gauge and avoid forcing the adjustment screw.

Adjusting the grip size using different grip pads or grip tape will help it fit your hand even better.
＜Trigger Position Adjustment＞
Hold the grip, relax your index finger, and adjust the throttle trigger so your finger naturally slips into place while bent. Finding the optimal position allows smoother finger operation and eliminates issues during braking-such as your finger not reaching, slipping off the brake trigger, or feeling uncomfortable.
*You can check the trigger position using the gauge position. Be careful not to overtighten or over-loosen the screw.

＜Brake Trigger Cover Adjustment＞
By replacing the brake trigger cover, you can adjust the clearance between your finger and the brake trigger during braking.
Use the included parts from the set. If you do not have them, please purchase optional parts.

＜Grip Pad＞
If adjusting the trigger position still does not achieve your preferred finger placement, replace the grip pad with the included Small or Large pad, wrap Optional Grip Tape II (107A90651B) to adjust thickness, and readjust the trigger position forward or backward.
*Grip pads degrade over time with long-term use. We recommend periodic replacement using the optional M17S/M17 Normal Grip M
＜Throttle Trigger Angle Adjustment＞
Once the trigger position is roughly determined, swap the angle spacer between the standard A, B, and C parts to fine-tune the contact point on your finger. This prevents difficulty when applying the brake or your finger slipping off.
*If you do not have the included parts, please purchase the optional TH Angle Spacer (B/C)

When making overall adjustments, relax your finger and place it on the trigger. The natural forward/backward position is achieved when the trigger slightly contacts the pad of your finger.
After swapping the angle spacer, adjust the trigger forward or backward to find the best position. Changing the angle spacer also shifts the trigger position forward or backward, so make fine adjustments to achieve the ideal setup.

Finally, adjust the throttle spring tension. A slightly softer setup allows for delicate throttle control, so use the tension adjuster to fine-tune it. You may also change to a different spring to match your preferred stiffness. A softer spring provides a more precise operational feel, so adjust the tension to your liking.
After making these adjustments, the throttle neutral or endpoint values may shift. Before use, correct the throttle travel using CALIBRATION in the SYSTEM menu.
